When using the Aprilaire non digital control on my humidifier are there any other adjustments? Or any other suggestions?

Consumer question:

I do not have a Digital Control for my humidifier. In order for the humidifier to turn On, I need to set the knob control to 35%. Are there any other adjustments? Or any other suggestions?

Aprilaire's response:

Thank you for contacting us with regards to your model 560 Humidifier. For all humidifiers and their controls, the humidifier can only activate when the control is set to a level higher than your current humidity. If your system needs to be set higher than 35% to operate, that suggests that your indoor humidity is at or below 35%. Our recommendation is to set the control at a level according to the owner's manual. If your outdoor temperature is 40°F or warmer, set it to 45%. For every 10°F colder outside, set the control lower by 5%. Please see the attached document for more information on Low Humidity issues.

we moved into this house with an aprilaire system attached to the furnace. We bought a maintenance kit and put that in. It has a handle with summer, winter, o & c. What do o & c stand for and should the handle cover the place you want it on or point to it?

I have a model 560 and there is no water flowing from the water supply to the filter. There is water to the solenoid, however, not flowing to the filter... any suggestions?
