Thank you for contacting us with regards to your model 8346 Thermostat. If the Reset button does not restore normal operation, and if you've tried replacing the batteries, something is likely wrong with the thermostat. It may have suffered a static shock that damaged the components on the circuit board. If the unit was installed in 2009, we would recommend that you contact your installer for a replacement model.

Sunday, May 13, 2012 by s. donald:: Unit reaches set temp then shuts off. Cannot lower temp to get it to operate , it keeps going to off. After several ( 5-10 ) minutes of debating back and forth as to whether to call A/C man the unit starts to work. When problem began we replaced the batteries which seemed to help but after about 2 weeks it's back again.

I heard there supposedly is a "reset" button but cannot locate it or find it mentioned in the owner's manual. If there is no "reset" button, can the thermostat be reset manually, and if so, how? Thank you for any information you can provide to me.
