Looking to replace my Aprilaire Model 110. I want to replace my 110 unit with a 100 unit. Is there a lot different in the installation?

Looking to replace my Aprilaire Model 110. I want to replace my 110 unit with a 100 unit. Is there a lot different in the installation?

Aprilaires' response:

Thank you for contacting us about your interest in replacing your older 110 humidifier. Although we do not make the 110 any longer, we also do not have a 100 model either. The closest model would be a 700 power humidifier. The plenum opening sizes are different and the original hole will need to be patched an re-cut. Also, the control is different and will require a different size cut out on the return duct. Wiring this may be different depending on if you go with the manual or automatic version.

Our unit comes with a 5 year warranty if installed by a licensed HVAC dealer. If not, this warranty is voided. I would recommend contacting your local HVAC dealer for assistance. I have verified that the blower motor is receving power, and I do have water flow, however, it was installed on the cold side and I'm having trouble identifying if it actually working or not. We recently moved into this house and are starting to address some of the issues that we've found. Any help is much appreciated.
