What is indoor air quality?

Wednesday, March 4, 2009 by Aprilaire Team

Most people don’t associate their indoor air quality with the furnace, air conditioner or heat pump.  Yet these ‘air handlers’ change the air in your home multiple times per day.  Usually, only the people with asthma or other severe breathing problems have awareness of whole home air cleaners.

Whether your concern is dusting, allergies or asthma; you (the homeowner) need to educate yourselves on what type of whole home air cleaner is right for you.

Since the homeowner is only buying air cleaners when they buy a new air handler, participation in the HVAC industry is usually once every 15 years.   Not that often!
