Consumer question:

I replacedModel #560 Series sol.valve,I am not getting power to activate it,could you tell me where power comes from and to activate valve.

Aprilaires' response:

Thank you for contacting us regarding your model 560.  The solenoid valve needs 24 volts and 10 volt amps to operate.  Typically this power comes from a 24 volt transformer that is wired to your HVAC equipment.  This transformer supplies power to the R and C terminals of your humidifier control, which relays power to open the solenoid.

If your 560 was working prior to replacing the solenoid valve and you've rewired the valve the same way, you may want to check your connections to make sure no connections are loose.  However, we recommend having any servicing done by a licenced HVAC contractor otherwise you risk voiding our warranty.

If you need any further assistance or have any questions concerning any of our other products, please contact our customer service department at your nearest convenience.
