Thermostat Set Back

Now that the weather is warming up in most of the county it’s about time to switch over to cooling mode on your thermostats.  Some thermostatAir Conditioner Fans will automatically switch your setback programming to cooling mode, but some will need to be reprogrammed with your air conditioning setback temperatures.  Being that Earth Day was on Wednesday there’s no better time then now to program your thermostat to save energy (and money).  During cooling season for optimum comfort and energy savings you should set you thermostat to 78 degrees when you are home and higher when you’re away.  Here are Energy Star's recommended setback settings.
